The Yogananda Centre for Theology (YCT), a centre of value-added curriculum along with professional and academic studies, in association with the School of Law at Shoolini University, organised a session on the topic ‘Bharat ki Drishti me Vikas (Indian Perspective of Development)’.
Swami Asangananda Saraswati from Gyan Vigyan Spiritual Organisation, Gujarat, was the key speaker for the event. He also interacted with students of different departments. Chancellor, Prof PK Khosla and Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla felicitated Swami Asangananda Saraswati.
Swami Asangananda in his address to students, said that for the real meaning of development, there are three things that are important– science, ancient Indian wisdom, and spirituality. He emphasised that Indian science has a great history in the fields of mathematics and science, including medical science, ayurveda, yoga, astronomy, astrology, architecture, etc. A lot of scientific knowledge evolved in ancient India, so many years ago, but we have forgotten about our roots.
He also said that through the wisdom of ancient Indian scriptures such as the Vedas, Bhagavad-Gita, Upanishad and Ramayana, we can understand a paradigm of effective development that is required for sustainable development.
