Senior Citizens Over 70 to Benefit from Ayushman Bharat Scheme: Tandon
1 min readSolan: At the BJP Solan Mandal membership drive workshop, BJP’s State Co-Incharge Sanjay Tandon praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to implementing his promises. Tandon emphasized that Modi’s administration has approved extending the Ayushman Bharat scheme to include senior citizens over the age of 70, offering up to ₹5 lakh in free treatment annually. This move is expected to benefit around six crore senior citizens and 4.5 crore families.
Tandon urged party members to enroll at least 100 new members from each household and market to strengthen the organization. He also criticized efforts in Himachal Pradesh to obstruct schemes like Ayushman Bharat and Him Care, urging the state government to learn from PM Modi’s example and enhance public service.
The workshop saw the participation of District President Rattan Singh Pal, former MP Virender Kashyap, State Vice-President Sanjeev Katwal, State Secretary Manish Chauhan, District General Secretary Bharat Sahni, Mandal President Nand Ram Kashyap, Village Center Chief, and Chandra Kant Sharma.
