Orders Speedy Restoration Work
Karsog, Sept 17 – SDM Karsog Gaurav Mahajan inspected the damaged Karsog bypass road and other affected areas today, directing officials of PWD, Jal Shakti and related departments to expedite restoration of roads, water and power supply on a war footing.
The bypass road, severely damaged due to cloudburst and heavy rains, has left traffic completely disrupted, forcing heavy vehicles to pass through Karsog market, causing inconvenience to residents and traders. The SDM stressed that quality should not be compromised in the restoration works.
He also reviewed water supply schemes and asked for early restoration in affected areas, while urging speedy revival of power and communication services. He appealed to locals to cooperate with the administration, stating that public–administration coordination is the biggest strength in disaster management.
