The Centre for Science, Learning and Creativity (CSLC) Science Museum, Shimla, hosted a group of 37 students from Government Model senior secondary school (GMSSS) Khalag near Shimla, accompanied by three school teachers.
On the occasion a talk on vocational courses and their benefits was delivered by the Director, CSLC Science Museum, Shimla, Mr. Ravikant Thakur.
The event began with a comprehensive introduction to vocational education, emphasising its hands-on and skill-based approach to learning. Mr. Thakur highlighted the importance of equipping students with practical skills that will prepare them for the real world. He further said vocational education plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application.
Mr. Thakur also discussed the numerous benefits of pursuing vocational education. These include early entry into the job market, reduced financial burden compared to traditional degrees, and the opportunity to explore one’s passions and talents.
The event was not only informative but also inspiring for the students and teachers alike. The journey of learning continues at CSLC-Science Museum Shimla, where we aim to cultivate the knowledge in young minds and guiding them towards a brighter future Director CSLC Mr. Thakur added.
