Sanjay Ratan Honors Meritorious Students at Khundian College, Announces 25 Computers

Dharamshala, March 15: Jwalamukhi MLA Sanjay Ratan attended the annual prize distribution ceremony at Government College Khundian as the chief guest. He highlighted that students from the Jwalamukhi Assembly constituency are now receiving quality education near their homes and no longer need to travel far for higher education.

Sanjay Ratan acknowledged the efforts of former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, who announced the establishment of the college in 2014, and the college building was completed in record time in 2019. He praised the infrastructure of Khundian College, calling it one of the most beautiful campuses in Himachal Pradesh.

During the event, he announced the provision of 25 computers and a library for the college in the upcoming session. Additionally, he promised the construction of a sports ground, the introduction of a shuttle bus service from Khundian market to the college, and the establishment of an NCC unit. He also pledged ₹51,000 from his discretionary fund to promote cultural activities.

The event featured a warm welcome by college staff and students, along with a vibrant cultural program. Acting Principal Prof. Shiv Kumar presented the annual report, highlighting the college’s achievements.
