Sanjay Awasthi Advises Former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur to Pursue Acting Career with Kangana
2 min readIn a surprising turn of events, Pradesh Congress Executive President and Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sanjay Awasthi has offered some unconventional advice to former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur. Awasthi suggested that after losing the election on June 4th, Kangana Ranaut would return to Mumbai, leaving Thakur to once again lead the state. He believes that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will face a decisive defeat in all four Lok Sabha and six Vidhan Sabha by-polls in the state. Furthermore, Awasthi confidently asserted that the Congress party will wave its victory flag on all seats.
Awasthi also dismissed the possibility of any BJP government, either at the state or national level. He scoffed at Thakur’s recent aspirations to become Kangana’s stage secretary and form a government in the state, likening it to a pipe dream. According to him, no conspiracy succeeds repeatedly, and Thakur’s initial scheme to destabilize the Congress party by expelling six MLAs failed miserably. Now, those same MLAs will have to face a decisive defeat in the by-polls.
Awasthi emphasized that the Congress-led state government had nothing to fear from the departure of six party MLAs. He noted that they had betrayed the party, resulting in their expulsion from the Vidhan Sabha. With a comfortable majority in hand, the Congress’s tally is set to exceed 40 seats after June 4th. Awasthi concluded by urging Thakur to engage in constructive dialogue on issues rather than attempting to mislead the public.
The statement made by Sanjay Awasthi reflects the confidence and assertiveness of the Pradesh Congress, signaling a clear intent to consolidate power and uphold democratic values in the state.
