Sampoornta Abhiyan 2.0 to Run from January 28 to April 14 in Chamba

Chamba | January 30, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal announced that Sampoornta Abhiyan 2.0 will be implemented in Chamba district from January 28 to April 14, 2026, under NITI Aayog’s Aspirational District and Aspirational Block Programme. The campaign will focus on achieving 100 percent targets related to health, education and nutrition in aspirational district Chamba and aspirational blocks Tissa and Pangi.
Chairing a review meeting on the campaign’s implementation, the Deputy Commissioner said that special attention would be given to key indicators in sectors including health, nutrition, education, agriculture and animal husbandry. Six indicators in aspirational blocks and five in the aspirational district have been identified for focused action.
He directed officials to ensure regular supplementary nutrition for children, timely identification and treatment of malnourished children, improved sanitation and drinking water facilities in anganwadi centres, and adequate functional toilets for girls in schools.
In the animal husbandry sector, a large-scale vaccination drive will be launched to prevent foot-and-mouth disease, supported by awareness campaigns at the grassroots level.
Financial assistance has also been provided under the campaign, with Rs 5 lakh allocated for the aspirational district and Rs 2 lakh for each aspirational block to support IEC activities and programme implementation.
Several special events will be organised during the campaign, including activities on National Science Day, International Women’s Day, National Immunisation Day, World Water Day, World TB Day and World Health Day, focusing on health services, sanitation, nutrition and awareness.
The Deputy Commissioner said the campaign aims to bring sustainable improvements in key development sectors and accelerate overall progress in the district.
