Samarth-2025: Disaster Awareness Drive in Shimla

Shimla, October 10, 2025 — Under the State Disaster Management Authority’s initiative Samarth-2025, a special awareness campaign will be conducted across various regions of Shimla district from October 14 to 18. The campaign aims to educate people about disaster risk reduction through cultural performances such as street plays, songs, and music.

Artists from different cultural troupes, including Him Aadhar Kala Manch (Naldehra), Pooja Kala Manch (Shagheen), Shiv Cultural Troupe (Halog Dhami), and others, will perform in areas like Gaiety Theatre, Sanjauli, Dhami, Theog, Rohru, Rampur, and Chaupal. The performances will highlight important themes such as earthquake preparedness, landslide prevention, flood management, and fire safety.
