Rotary Royal Solan Joins National TB Elimination Mission as Ni-Kshay Mitra

Solan, December 4: Rotary Royal Solan has proudly announced its participation in the Government of India’s National TB Elimination Mission by becoming a Ni-Kshay Mitra. In the first phase of this initiative, the club has provided vital nutritional support to 11 tuberculosis (TB) patients for six months. The support package includes 132 kg of pulses (green moong and black gram), 12 kg of soy nuggets, and protein powder, aimed at boosting patients’ health and immunity during their recovery.

Project Chair Rotarian Dr. Jagdev Sharma and Co-Chair Rotarian Arun Trehan led the successful implementation, with support from Rotary members and community leaders. Notable attendees included Rotarian Anil Chauhan, Assistant Governor, RI District 3080; Rajendra Kashyap, Principal, Degree College Dharampur; Rotarian M.J. Singh, President, Rotary Kasauli; Dr. Supriya Atwal, MS, TB Sanatorium; and others.

Rotary Royal Solan President Dr. Kamal Atwal emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating, “As part of Rotary’s commitment to ‘Service Above Self,’ we are proud to support the TB elimination mission. Our Ni-Kshay Mitra initiative reflects Rotary’s dedication to global health and local community impact.”

With this project, Rotary Royal Solan reaffirms its commitment to serving the community and contributing to a TB-free India, pledging continued support for TB patients in the upcoming phases.
