Rohit Thakur participated in the sports competitions

Education Minister Rohit Thakur today participated as the chief guest in two different sports competitions in his assembly constituency Jubbal-Kotkhai-Nawar.
In the first phase of his tour, he reached Devrighat where he presided over the closing ceremony of the GPL Season 7 cricket competition organized by Nav Yuvak Mandal Gujandali. First of all, he congratulated Nav Yuvak Mandal Gujandali for organizing this event and also wished good luck to the teams participating in the competition.
He said that organizing competitions of sports like cricket in a hilly state like Himachal is not an easy task because the availability of open grounds for cricket is less in our area. Still, organizing such events is a praiseworthy work. Addressing the people present on the importance of sports, he said that Tikkar Navar area is an important part of his assembly constituency and proper development has been ensured here in more than 2 years of the current Congress government. Where once Tikkar sub division was considered an area of ​​​​unpaved roads. Today this area is known for paved and excellent roads. In the same series, Deori Ghat Tikkar road has been sent for funding to NABARD at a cost of 9 crore 66 lakhs and this work will be started as soon as possible after getting approval. He said that Deori Ghat area is an area adjacent to Giri Ganga and Kupad mountain and it is also full of natural beauty. Therefore, in the coming time, this area will also be developed from the tourism point of view. In this direction, a survey is also being conducted for the construction of a ropeway from Giri Ganga to Kuppad.
On this occasion, Rohit Thakur also announced to give Rs 50 thousand to the local youth group.
In the next leg of his tour, the Education Minister reached his home Panchayat Dhar where he presided over the closing ceremony of the 8th Shan-e-Dhar Jamindar (Dhar Utsav) Volleyball Competition. On reaching here, he was given a grand welcome by the local youth group and local residents. In Dhar, 18 teams participated in the Legend category and 12 Open teams.
Rohit Thakur said on this occasion that he is feeling happy to be a part of this program in his home Panchayat. During this, he congratulated Nav Yuvak Mandal Dhar on this event. And also boosted the morale of the players participating in this competition by meeting them. Rohit Thakur said that Dhar Zamindar has a very old relation with volleyball and his late father Jagdish Thakur also used to be a part of this team. He also said that in the present time where the young generation is getting caught in the trap of drugs and other vices. At such a time, such sports events play an important role in character building of the youth and protect them from drugs. While discussing the development works, the Education Minister said that being his home, the all-round development of Dhar Panchayat is his priority and during his tenure of more than 2 years as Education Minister, unprecedented development has taken place in Dhar, in which the construction work of the community building under construction at a cost of 50 lakhs and the high mast light installed in Kalala courtyard at a cost of 4 lakhs are prominent. Apart from this, solar energy based lights costing Rs 8 lakh 57 thousand have also been approved and these will be distributed to the beneficiaries soon. Apart from this, the work of leveling of Kohlada-Anti road at a cost of 14 crore 50 lakh and metalling and tarring of Bareli road worth 35 lakh and re-tarring of Jubbal to Dhar road at a cost of Rs 80 lakh has also been completed. Apart from this, Rs 75 lakh was spent to repair the damage caused in the Pahad village under the Panchayat. Apart from this, Gat Dabri Road under Dhar Panchayat will be upgraded by putting it in the MLA priority.
On this occasion, the Education Minister also announced to give Rs 50,000 to the local Nav Yuvak Mandal.
