Rising Crime Incidents Shame Himachal, Law and Order in Crisis: Jairam Thakur

Mandi, Jan 04: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur expressed deep concern over recent criminal incidents in Himachal Pradesh, stating that such events are against the state’s peaceful culture and have created fear among the public. He said people are gradually losing faith in the government’s ability to maintain law and order.

Referring to the college student’s death in Dharamshala, Thakur advised the state government to order a high-level and impartial investigation and avoid hasty decisions. He also questioned the government over the Nalagarh blast, warning that such incidents indicate growing unrest and pose a serious threat to peace in the state. Thakur said the rising trend of crime is alarming and urged the government to take strict steps to restore public confidence and ensure safety.
