Shimla, December 5: District Election Officer Anupam Kashyap reviewed the progress of the Special Summary Revision 2025 through video conferencing. The review focused on resolving objections in the voter list, handling duplicate EPICs, ensuring proper deletion processes, and sharing the final voter list with political parties.

Kashyap reported that out of 6,078 objections filed under Form 6, 5,462 (89.87%) have been resolved. Similarly, for Form 7, 4,821 objections were filed, of which 4,210 (87.33%) have been addressed. Under Form 8, 3,099 objections were received, and 2,743 (88.51%) have been resolved.

Additionally, all 68 objections related to duplicate EPICs have been settled. These included cases from Theog (4), Kasumpti (25), Shimla Urban (30), Shimla Rural (7), and Rohru (2), with no objections from Jubbal-Kotkhai, Rampur, and Chopal.

The Election Department is working diligently to finalize the voter list. Deletions are being made only after verifying BLO reports and death certificates. Kashyap instructed officials to expedite the resolution of remaining objections.
