Recruitment for 84 Non-Teaching Posts at NIT Hamirpur

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, will be filling 84 non-teaching positions. The recruitment schedule has been announced, with examinations scheduled for September 20, 21, and 22. The examination centers and admit cards will be available on the website from September 13, and candidates can download their admit cards three days prior to the examination. This marks the first time that recruitment examinations are being conducted through the National Testing Agency (NTA).

The institute had invited online applications for these positions in June and July. The shortlisting of candidates has been completed, and those who are eligible will appear for the written examination. These non-teaching positions have been vacant for approximately five years in NIT.

The Registrar, Dr. Archana Nanoti, explained that there are a total of 84 vacancies for various positions in the non-teaching category at NIT. These include one position for Private Assistant, two for Senior Scientific Officer, two for Scientific Officer and Technical Officer, 12 for Junior Assistant, four for Senior Assistant, one for Pharmacist, two for Library and Information Assistant, two for Students Activity and Sports Assistant, and various other positions such as Supervisor, Junior Engineer (JE), Technical Assistant, Technician, and Senior Technician.

– Private Assistant: 42 applications
– Scientific Officer: 70 applications
– Technical Officer: 279 applications
– Junior Assistant: 661 applications
– Senior Assistant: 460 applications
– Junior Engineer: 242 applications
– Pharmacist: 76 applications
– Senior Technician: 552 applications
– Information Assistant: 120 applications
– Sports Assistant: 43 applications
