Ravi Shankar Prasad Attacks Congress Govt Over Salary Cuts in Himachal

Shimla, Sept 9 – Senior BJP leader and MP Ravi Shankar Prasad criticized the Himachal Pradesh Congress government for ordering salary cuts of state employees, calling it a betrayal of public trust. He said that under the BJP’s Jairam Thakur government in September 2022, employees received a salary hike, but now Congress has slashed salaries citing poor financial health.
According to Prasad, around 89 categories of government employees will lose ₹10,000–15,000 per month due to the decision. He accused Congress of running a “Khata-Khat model” of governance, which he claimed only delivers false promises and disappointments, whether in Karnataka, Himachal, or Telangana.
Prasad alleged that Congress lacks policy, intent, and capability, and instead of governance, it mismanages finances to the extent of reportedly disposing of government vehicles. “This is the real face of Congress and the reality of Himachal’s crumbling economy,” he added.
