Ratan Chand Nirjhar to Lead Awareness Campaign for 100% Voting in 43 Polling Stations

Bilaspur, April 25, 2024:
Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, in the district of Bilaspur, Ratan Chand Nirjhar, well-known as Rahul Sanskritayan, will undertake a foot march to inspire people to vote 100% in the polling stations where there was low voter turnout during the previous assembly elections. This initiative aims to motivate people to vote on June 1, 2024. This information was provided by the District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner of Bilaspur, Abid Hussain Sadique.
He informed that on Friday, Chief Secretary Pramod Saxena will be on a one-day visit to Bilaspur and will review the election-related preparations in the district. Subsequently, Chief Secretary Ratan Chand Nirjhar will depart at 11:30 a.m. by hoisting a green flag, symbolizing the start of his journey. He will undertake a foot march in 43 polling stations in the Jhanduta and Ghumarvi assembly constituencies to convey the message of 100% voting.
Starting from the polling station at Luhnu Maidan and proceeding through Behnajhatta and Vijaypur, Ratan Chand Nirjhar will continue his journey to cover all 43 polling stations. He mentioned that at each polling station, booth-level officers and village secretaries will welcome him.
He further stated that perhaps there is no corner in Himachal where he has not undertaken a foot march. During his more than 30 years of service in the Public Works Department, he has spent most of his time in the remote areas of Himachal Pradesh and has also undertaken foot marches in all the remote areas of Himachal.
He mentioned that various efforts are being made in Bilaspur district under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to inspire people to vote 100%.
