Rakesh Jamwal Criticizes Sukhvinder Sukhu Government for Taxing Essential Services

Shimla: BJP chief spokesperson and MLA from Sundernagar, Rakesh Jamwal, launched a sharp attack on the Sukhvinder Sukhu government, accusing it of burdening the common people with inflation instead of controlling its own expenses. He criticized the government’s decision to increase water bills after already hiking electricity rates, calling it an injustice to those dependent on minimal wages like MGNREGA workers. Jamwal also alleged that the government is planning to tax water connections under the ‘Har Ghar Jal’ scheme and raised concerns over the steep hike in water tariffs in urban areas, making it seem as though the government is supplying mineral water through taps.
