Rajiv Rana Distributes Agricultural Equipment to 2,000 Farmers

Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Unorganized Workers and Employees Congress (KKC) and former secretary of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee, Rajiv Rana, presided as the chief guest at the “Farmer Training Program” organized at Career Point University, Hamirpur.

The event, held under the Scheduled Caste Sub-Plan, aimed at empowering SC farmers by enhancing livelihood and entrepreneurial opportunities. Organized by ICAR-IARI, New Delhi, in collaboration with various ICAR institutes and organizations, the program focused on sustainable agricultural practices.

Addressing the gathering, Rajiv Rana paid tribute to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and praised the university for hosting the event. Highlighting state and central government initiatives, he mentioned schemes like Him Unnati Yojana, Natural Farming Happy Scheme, and the Chief Minister’s Agricultural Production Protection Scheme. Rana emphasized the government’s focus on natural farming and the MSP on milk, making Himachal the first state to implement it.

Rana distributed agricultural tools and seeds to around 2,000 farmer families from the Bhoranj constituency. The event also featured agricultural experts providing guidance to farmers.

District Secretary Vinod Rangra and Block Youth Congress Vice President Jagdev Chand were also present.
