Rajinder Rana Slams Sukhu Govt for Ignoring Public Welfare and Disaster Relief

1 min read

Shimla, October 27, 2025: BJP senior spokesperson and former MLA Rajinder Rana lashed out at the Sukhu government, accusing it of ignoring the core issues of public welfare, disaster relief, and state development. He said the Congress government has burdened the state’s finances by appointing a “cabinet-rank army” of advisors who seem more focused on shielding their political circle than addressing people’s concerns.

Rana remarked that these advisors are misleading the Chief Minister instead of guiding him toward good governance. “If the government’s advisors believe that demanding relief for disaster victims, ensuring jobs for youth, or pressing for timely salaries and pensions for employees are not big issues — then their mindset itself is flawed,” he said.

He further criticised the government for allegedly violating the Constitution by delaying municipal, panchayat, and local body elections. “Isn’t this a major issue? Is questioning corruption, the growing drug menace, and mafia rule a small issue?” Rana asked.

He accused the government’s “friends’ circle” of plundering state resources under political protection and said the advisors’ attempts to silence the opposition expose the government’s insecurity. “For the BJP, the voice of every Himachali is the biggest issue. We will continue to raise the people’s pain and hold the government accountable,” he asserted.

Rana concluded by urging the government to fulfil the false guarantees made during elections instead of wasting time blaming the opposition, reminding them that governance means transparency and responsibility toward citizens.
