2 min read

Refuting the allegation of the BJP leaders of laying the foundation stone of Tourism resort at Auhar in district Bilaspur twice, Town and Country Planning Minister, Rajesh Dharmani today said that the foundation stone of the ‘State-of-Art Him Resort’ at Auhar which was laid by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Sunday was completely different from the Hotel, the foundation stone of which was laid by the then National BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda in October 2022, just before a day before declaration of the Model code of Conduct before the Vidhan Sabha elections, without any budgetary provision and was still lying in limbo.

The foundation stone of Rs 33.75 crore Him Resort laid by the Chief Minister, on 14th July, 2024, will have various facilities such as a conference hall, banquet hall, health club, food court and will be integrated with Govind Sagar reservoir for water sports activities. Dharmani said that 25 Bighas land each on both side of the four lane, i.e on the lake side and opposite to it, has been made available for expansion of the project and to equip it with State-of Art facilities.

He said that the current ‘Him Resort project’ offers multiple facilities. The foundation stone laying ceremony by the Chief Minister marks the beginning of a project which would be unique and one of its type catering to all the needs of the tourists. Therefore, the allegations made by BJP leaders are baseless, unfounded, and lack factual support.

Apart from this, the Minister said that even the ‘Tourism Cafe’ at Auhar was set up and developed by the Congress government in 2017, the inauguration of which was done by him.

The BJP leaders should check the facts before issuing unfounded statements in media, he advised.
