Public Consultation Opens on Proposed Ward Delimitation for Zila Parishad Chamba

Chamba, February 20: Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal has formally issued a notification initiating the delimitation process of electoral wards under Zila Parishad Chamba in accordance with the Himachal Pradesh Panchayati Raj Election Rules, 1994.
The notification outlines proposed revisions for 18 wards — Karyas, Sanwal, Chanju, Khani, Kilod, Sunara, Kariyan, Bakhtpur, Motla, Samot, Banet, Nainikhad, Udaipur, Sarol, Chaklu, Karwal, Byana and Sanuuh. Members of the public have been invited to submit objections or suggestions within seven days of the notification’s publication. Any representations received after the stipulated period will not be considered.
For transparency and public reference, the detailed delimitation proposals have been made available at the offices of the District Panchayat Officer, Secretary Zila Parishad, all Block Development Offices, and Gram Panchayat Secretaries across the district.
