Congress’s False Guarantees Failed in Every State: Anurag

Anurag Singh Thakur, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, was on a tour of Himachal Pradesh today. During his visit, he first participated in the Tridev Sammelan organized in Bilaspur. Subsequently, Anurag Thakur arrived at the Naina Devi Assembly constituency, where he attended the SC Convention held at Jagatkhana. Finally, Anurag Thakur participated in the Bhakhra Displaced Rehabilitation Cell Conference held at Ghavandla in the Naina Devi Assembly.
Responding to Congress’s allegations of purchasing six legislators in Himachal Pradesh for ₹15-15 crores each, Anurag Thakur stated, “I want Congress to provide evidence for these allegations. If Congress leaders are accusing, they should provide facts and evidence to the people of Himachal. If they cannot provide evidence, they should refrain from making allegations. Congress is attempting to cover up its government’s failures with baseless allegations. If they cannot manage their own house, cannot control their legislators due to non-performance, is the Bharatiya Janata Party responsible? If Congress loses all four seats in Himachal in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, will they accuse the public of taking money?”
Anurag Thakur further questioned why Congress failed to fulfill its promises. “What happened to the promises of giving ₹1500 per month to mothers and sisters? Why didn’t youth get the promised 5 lakh jobs? Why is cow dung being bought at ₹2 per kilogram and milk at ₹100 per liter? It’s because of these failures that these six legislators left them. Even independent legislators have left them.”
Regarding Congress’s manifesto, Anurag Thakur referred to it as a “bundle of false promises,” stating that whenever Congress has come to power, it has shown falsehoods, illusions, and fear. He emphasized that wherever Congress has formed governments, all its guarantees have failed. The nation knows their nature and character, and that’s why the country trusts only and only Modi’s guarantees.
Addressing the issue of Congress parachuting Abhishek Manu Singhvi as a candidate from the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency, Anurag Thakur dismissed it as baseless. “Abhishek Manu Singhvi was a parachute candidate whom Congress made a Rajya Sabha candidate from Himachal. Kangana Ranaut is the daughter of Mandi and Himachal who has made her name on her own. Kangana Ji will fight with strength and win with record votes.”
Regarding the allocation of Congress tickets to BJP rebels in the Himachal Pradesh assembly by-elections and responding to Congress’s allegations, Anurag Thakur said, “Congress should first manage its own house. First, Congress should explain why their six legislators, working presidents, former ministers, and three-time legislators left them?”
Providing a special message to the people of Himachal Pradesh for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Anurag Thakur said, “Modi Ji has always considered Himachal as his second home. In the last 10 years, he has given so much to this small hilly state as it didn’t receive in the previous 60 years. Therefore, to accelerate this development, give all four Lok Sabha seats of Himachal to Modi Ji and also ensure victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the six assembly constituencies in the by-elections.”
Speaking about his victory from the Hamirpur Lok Sabha constituency, Anurag Thakur said, “The divine people of Hamirpur have sent me to Delhi as their MP for the fourth time. In the fourth term, the people elected me with four lakh votes. They will give me a chance to serve by winning with five lakh votes this time.”
Addressing the SC Convention, Anurag Thakur criticized Congress for disrespecting Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. “What compulsion did Congress have to insult Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar? He gave India a Constitution, and Congress should have respected him as Narendra Modi Ji has done. But Congress’s mindset was small; they were limited to the Nehru-Gandhi family. They didn’t give Babasaheb Ambedkar any respect, but as soon as a non-Congress government came, the work of giving Bharat Ratna to him was done. Under the leadership of honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, our government is committed to integrating Dalits, marginalized, and disadvantaged people into the mainstream, providing them with constitutional rights along with social justice and equal opportunities. The Modi government has worked on special schemes for the development of Scheduled Castes, for their education, and to bring them into the mainstream.”
During this event, Anurag Thakur extended endless greetings on the 44th Foundation Day of the Bharatiya Janata Party, saying, “Congratulations on the 44th Foundation Day of the BJP, which is not only committed to the founding principles of nation-first with excellence in democratic values, humanity, and Indianness but has also not only pledged on its resolutions but also fulfilled those resolutions. It is because of the sacrifices, dedication, and hard work of millions of BJP workers that today, India is advancing on the unprecedented path of progress under the leadership of honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. The foundation of developed India has been laid in the last 10 years through service, good governance, and the welfare of the poor. In the next 25 years, we will make India a developed nation.”
