Solan, October 14 — In a remarkable global recognition, Shoolini University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Atul Khosla, has been appointed as an Honorary Enterprise Professor by the prestigious University of Melbourne, ranked among the world’s top 20 universities (QS 2025).

The Honorary Enterprise Professorship is an exclusive distinction awarded to visionary leaders who have made significant contributions at the crossroads of academia, innovation, and enterprise. Prof. Khosla now joins an elite international circle of thought leaders and entrepreneurs acknowledged by the University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Science for promoting global collaboration and innovation-led learning.

His efforts have positioned the university as a model for research excellence, sustainability, and social innovation in the Global South.

Expressing gratitude, Prof. Khosla said, “This honour reinforces our belief that Indian universities can stand shoulder to shoulder with the best in the world and signifies a deepening collaboration between the Global North and South.”

Prof. Khosla also heads Daskalos, a pioneering initiative creating partnerships with leading global universities — including Bristol, York, Aberdeen, and Liverpool — to establish campuses in India under the UGC’s foreign universities framework.

With this appointment, Prof. Khosla joins a distinguished group of Honorary Enterprise Professors at Melbourne, including Greg Hunt, James P.
