President Droupadi Murmu to Visit Shimla from May 5–9

Shimla, April 30, 2025 — In view of President Droupadi Murmu’s scheduled visit to Shimla from May 5 to 9, 2025, a high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Anupam Kashyap to review the preparations. The President will stay at the Rashtrapati Niwas, “The Retreat.” The DM directed all departments to ensure time-bound and coordinated arrangements. Instructions were issued for road repairs, sanitation, uninterrupted water supply, fire safety audits, and medical preparedness. Traffic will be regulated in areas like Dhalli and Sanjauli, with CCTV surveillance and additional police deployment to ensure smooth arrangements.
