Preparations in full swing for ‘Delhi Haat’ to commence from 16th December
1 min readThe Himachal Pradesh Himcraft Corporation will set up 35 stalls at Dilli Haat this year, from 16th to 31st December, besides five stalls by HIMCOSTE and 20 stalls will be set up by State Rural Livelihood Mission. Apart from this, five stalls serving Himachali Dham will be set up serving delicious cuisines of Himachal Pradesh to the visitors.
This was stated by official spokesperson of the State Government here today.
A meeting in this regard was held by the Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena at Shimla, wherein it was decided that the artisans along with their name, art and craft and activities they excel-in and would like to display them in Dilli Haat, would contact the Managing Director Himcraft, and heads of other participating departments immediately. A committee has been constituted in this regard which will take the final call. It was decided that an amount of Rs.3000 per stall for two persons will be provided to meet their day-to-day expenses and each stakeholder department will share the name, address and bank details of the participants so that the amount can be deposited in their account.
He said that Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla was likely to inaugurate the event on 18th December and Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will be invited as the Chief Guest during the culmination of the event on 30th December, 2023. It was also decided that the Language, Art and Culture department will arrange for the cultural troupes during 15 day event as per the schedule discussed in the meeting.
