Shimla, April 11: Pradesh Congress Committee President and Member of Parliament Pratibha Singh has called upon party workers to come together and enter the electoral arena unitedly, stating that the upcoming by-elections for four Lok Sabha and six Vidhan Sabha seats in the state are crucial for the victory of the Congress. She emphasized that the results of these elections will determine the future direction of politics in the state.

Pratibha Singh asserted that the Congress is fighting a significant battle for the protection of democracy in the country. She remarked that the nation is currently troubled by the authoritarianism and anti-people policies of the BJP. By misusing investigative agencies, the BJP is putting its opponents behind bars. In response to this injustice, the Congress is fighting a major battle for justice.

Referring to the announcement of the All India Congress Committee, Pratibha Singh stated that the BJP is completely rattled. She criticized BJP leaders for making baseless statements and attempting to mislead people regarding the Congress’s manifesto. She emphasized that the Congress’s manifesto is a visionary document that fulfills the hopes and aspirations of the people.

Pratibha Singh pointed out that BJP leaders never talk about rising inflation and unemployment in the country. She recalled how during the time of the UPA government, when a gas cylinder cost Rs. 350 and petrol and diesel were available for Rs. 60 and Rs. 50 per liter respectively, BJP leaders used to vehemently criticize the government for inflation. Today, when the same gas cylinder costs Rs. 1000 and petrol and diesel prices have soared above Rs. 100 per liter, BJP leaders remain silent.

She asserted that the Congress government in the state is completely stable. After winning the upcoming by-elections for four Lok Sabha and six Vidhan Sabha seats, the state government will fulfill all its promises for the welfare of the people. The government has already implemented the One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme and has begun providing Rs. 1500 to women. Additionally, the Startup Scheme worth Rs. 680 crore has been launched to provide employment to unemployed youth.
