Shimla , Aug 18 – Pratibha Singh, the Pradesh Congress President and Member of Parliament, has called upon Chief Minister Sukhdev Singh Sukh to allocate additional funds for the speedy repair of roads that have been damaged due to heavy rainfall and floods in the Mandi parliamentary constituency. She emphasized the need to provide extra financial support to the Central Zone of the Public Works Department for these repairs. Singh also urged the allocation of additional machinery by the National Highways Authority to reinstate the national highway between Mandi, Kullu, Manali, and Lahaul-Spiti.

Singh stated that until the restoration of the Kainchi Mor road from Pandoh is complete, other alternative routes such as Bajaura, Kotla, Katindi, Chailchok, Gohar, and Pandoh should be strategically utilized for the movement of goods-carrying vehicles. She highlighted the substantial loss of life and property due to heavy rainfall and floods in the state. The prompt restoration of the Mandi-Kullu road is essential, as it is also used for the transportation of essential supplies by the military. Singh called upon party officials and workers to extend their full support to the affected individuals during this crisis.
