Shimla Police has registered a case under IPC sections 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 379 (theft) in the suspicious death of Govind, a resident of Durgapur village, Sunni. Govind’s body was found near Shankali Nala on March 21, 2024.
His father, Bhup Ram, alleges that Govind was last seen with a man named Pawan, who allegedly gave him alcohol and later attacked him, leaving him in the nala. Bhup Ram also claimed that Govind’s mobile and cash were missing.
After nine months of persistence and evidence presented by the family, the police registered the case. Investigations are underway, and the family hopes for justice.
