Police Constable Recruitment Document Verification Postponed

1 min read

Shimla, September 2 – The Himachal Pradesh Police Department has postponed the document verification process for constable recruitment in view of continuous heavy rainfall, landslides, cloudbursts, and road blockages across the state. Originally scheduled to begin on September 4, the process will now take place from September 24 to 29 at Police Line Bharari, Shimla.

The department clarified that the decision was taken prioritizing the safety of candidates and staff, ensuring that no aspirant misses verification due to disrupted road connectivity.

Revised Schedule:

  • Sept 24 – Kangra candidates (North Zone)
  • Sept 25 – Chamba & Una candidates (North Zone)
  • Sept 26 – Mandi candidates (Central Zone)
  • Sept 27 – Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kullu & Lahaul-Spiti candidates (Central Zone)
  • Sept 28 – Shimla & Solan candidates (South Zone)
  • Sept 29 – Kinnaur & Sirmaur candidates (South Zone)

Earlier, the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission had declared the screening test result on August 2 for 1,088 constable posts, out of which 1,964 candidates qualified.
