Poetry session organised at Shoolini University

Belletristic, the Literary Society of Shoolini University’s Department of English in collaboration with School of Journalism, organised a session on Humorous Poetry on Friday.

More than a dozen participants recited poems that tickled the funny bone. A variety of poems were read including limericks, parodies, children’s verse and even nonsense poetry. There lies a serious message underneath these satirical poetry.

Faculty members of The Chitrakoot School of Liberal Arts and The School of Journalism, Shoolini University, recited a poem each and regaled the audience. While most of the poems were in English, like the ones recited by Prof. Manju Jaidka, Mr. Neeraj Pizar, Ms. Sakshi Sundaram, Mr. Samrat Sharma, and Ms. Indu Negi, there were Hindi poems too, recited by Prof. Purnima Bali, Prof. Prakash Chand, Mr. Hemant Sharma, and Dr. Ashoo Khosla.
