PM’s decision to Provide free vaccine to states will save Rs 500cr of Himachal, says Himachal’s UD minister
1 min readShimla, June 07 – Urban development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj said the prime minister Narendra Modi’s announcement of providing free vaccine to states will save over Rs. 500cr of Himachal Pradesh.
in a statement issued here, the minister said, “Now only Rs 500cr but the expenditure state would have to spent on vaccination program in future will also be saved.”
Bhardwaj hailed the prime minister to extend the Garib Kalyan Yojana till Diwali.
“The Prime Minister made two big announcements. First, all the states will now be given free vaccine by the Centre from June 21 for people above 18 years. The vaccine will be given free of cost to the state government by procuring 75% of the total production from the manufacturers,” he said.
He added that 80 crore poor people of the country will be given free ration till November i.e. Diwali.
He added that the Prime Minister not only made his policy clear, but also slammed the Toolkit Gang for conspiring to discourage the vaccine program.
