Shimla, November 16, 2023 – Rakesh Jamwal, the spokesperson for BJP in the state and MLA, praised the comprehensive development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He stated that India has achieved a new identity on the global stage due to the all-encompassing progress under PM Modi.

Jamwal mentioned that the PM Jan Adivasi Nyaya Mahabhiyan (PM-JANMAN) is significantly benefiting all the tribals across the country. He appreciated Prime Minister Modi for inaugurating a project worth Rs. 24,000 crores, focusing on the overall development of the historically oppressed and particularly weaker tribal groups, for a period extending over seven decades.

The BJP leader emphasized that it is historic for the country that such an initiative has never been taken before. He highlighted the basis of this mission, which is focused on providing fundamental facilities like secure housing, clean drinking water, sanitation, education, health, nutrition, road connectivity, and sustainable livelihoods for this category.

Jamwal commented that the PM Jan Adivasi Nyaya Mahabhiyan (PM-JANMAN) would bring special benefits to this group by focusing on delivering services such as safe housing, clean drinking water, sanitation, education, health, nutrition, road connectivity, and sustainable livelihoods. He stressed that the mission’s foundation is built on these basic amenities.

The spokesperson accused the Congress party of merely treating this initiative as a vote bank. He claimed that the Congress party’s leaders had only indulged in political gimmicks regarding this category. He argued that the Congress party had not done anything substantial for the welfare of these communities except playing politics.

Jamwal listed various initiatives like Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Sikal Se Anemia Unmulan Mission, TB Unmulan, 100% Vaccination, PM Safe Motherhood Scheme, PM Matru Vandana Yojana, Poshan Abhiyan, Jan Dhan Yojana, and others where the Central government has focused on providing complete coverage. He emphasized that the Modi-led government has consistently made dedicated efforts for the welfare of tribal communities over the past nine years.

He concluded by saying that the BJP government has constructed over 50 lakh permanent houses, provided more than 1.3 crore piped water connections, and built 1.5 crore toilets during its tenure. Additionally, initiatives like Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Sikal Se Anemia Unmulan Mission, and Jan Aushadhi Kendras have provided affordable and quality medicines in tribal areas.
