Persistent Road Collapse at Kacchi Dhaag Disrupts Life,

Shillai, September 2 – The recurring road sinking at Kacchi Dhaag on National Highway-707 has once again disrupted traffic, causing long-term hardships for residents. Farmers are unable to transport fruits and vegetables to markets on time, while patients face severe difficulties in reaching hospitals.

Locals allege that despite repeated assurances from past and present governments, no permanent solution has been implemented. Neither an alternative route has been constructed nor has the long-awaited bridge at Sataun materialized.

Though the sanctioning of NH-707 from Paonta to Hatkoti by the Central Government was seen as a major achievement for the Giri Par region, the persistent issue at Kacchi Dhaag has overshadowed its benefits.

Residents have urged the State Government to expedite bridge construction and provide a permanent solution. Social workers and youth are also being appealed to raise this issue above politics in the media and public interest so that lasting relief can be ensured for the people of Giri Par.
