Anirudh Singh, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, along with Sundar Singh Thakur, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, has stated that the electorate will teach a lesson to those who betray trust in the upcoming by-elections. They accused the BJP of using rebels as puppets and orchestrating a conspiracy to seize power through coercion. At the very least, BJP leaders should heed the advice of their senior leader Shanta Kumar and engage in introspection. They need to reflect on the words of former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar.
Both leaders stated that BJP leader Jairam Thakur’s lust for power is evident, and he is resorting to wrong methods to seize power. Their greed destabilized the state, and BJP is failing to manage its own house. Many BJP MLAs, former ministers, and ex-MLAs are in contact with the Congress and may join the party anytime. Several BJP leaders have resigned from the party, but Jairam Thakur is only caught in the temptation of becoming Chief Minister. They stated that the admission of Congress rebels into the party has revealed BJP’s conspiracy against the people of Himachal Pradesh. The people of the state have realized that BJP leaders, in collaboration with rebels, conspired to topple the duly elected popular government in Himachal Pradesh. It has been proven that horse-trading took place in Himachal Pradesh. However, the people of Himachal Pradesh do not trust sellable politics and will give a resounding answer on June 1st.
Anirudh Singh and Sundar Singh Thakur said that those who have stabbed their own party in the back can never be true servants of the people. These leaders have insulted the sentiments of the electorate by acting opportunistically, as they were elected on Congress tickets. They stated that those who did not belong to the party can never belong to the people. Their true faces have been exposed to the people of the state. They said that such leaders will never refrain from auctioning off the people of their constituencies for personal gain, hence the rebels’ defeat is certain.
Both leaders said that Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukkhu is an honest person, and since assuming power, his government has taken strong steps against corruption. They said that every child of the state stands with the honest Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukkhu, which is the strength of the Congress party. With this strength, the Congress party will contest the elections and emerge victorious in the four Lok Sabha seats as well as the upcoming by-elections for six Assembly seats.
