Part-Time Reporters Invited by All India Radio

Shimla, July 31: The spokesperson of All India Radio Shimla informed that applications are invited for the contractual engagement of part-time reporters in Kinnaur and Shimla districts. The deadline for submitting applications is August 16, 2023.

Applicants are required to fill the application on the prescribed form, attach self-attested copies of essential documents, including educational qualification, work contract, date of birth, and proof of residence, along with a photograph. The applications must be sent to the All India Radio Center, Chhota Maidan, Shimla, through registered/speed post.

For the position of part-time reporter, it is mandatory to have a postgraduate degree/diploma in journalism/mass communication or graduation with two years of journalism experience. The age limit is between 24 and 45 years, and the applicant should reside within the respective district headquarters or within a 10-kilometer radius from the headquarters. Knowledge of computers and word processing is required, and candidates must possess essential tools for news coverage.

The selection for the contractual engagement will be based on interviews, where candidates will be evaluated on their educational qualification, work experience, knowledge of the district and state, current affairs, awareness of welfare schemes, understanding of radio news, journalism skills, and communication tools. The selected candidates will be engaged as part-time reporters on a contractual basis.
