Pakistan Shelling Reported in Pathankot and J&K; Attack Foiled by Indian Forces

Pathankot/Jammu, May 8, 2025 – Reports of Pakistani shelling have emerged from Pathankot in Punjab and several regions in Jammu & Kashmir including Akhnoor and Samba. Following the escalation, a complete blackout has been imposed in these areas and the Pathankot Airbase has been placed on high alert.

According to defense sources, the Indian Army successfully foiled the attempted attack and ensured the safety of key installations, including the Pathankot Airbase. This comes shortly after Pakistani drones reportedly targeted Jammu.

Security across border areas has been heightened and surveillance is ongoing.
