Organ Donation Awareness Programme Held at Gautam College of Nursing, Hamirpur

Hamirpur, July 25, 2025: The Scouts and Guides Unit of Gautam College of Nursing and Pharmacy successfully organized an organ donation awareness programme. The event aimed to sensitize students about the importance and need for organ donation.

Guest speakers included Dr. Anil Verma (HOD, Ophthalmology), who explained the medical process of organ donation, Advocate Amit Sharma, who shed light on the legal and social responsibilities, and Mr. Naresh Kumar (SOTTO), who informed students about government schemes and the organ donor registry process.

Principal Dr. Neela Thakur and faculty members including Dr. Ratan Sharma, Manju, Swati, Sunil, and Rover Ranger in-charge Meena were present. The college administration thanked all guests and emphasized the need for more such impactful sessions in the future.
