Opposition Wasting Parliament’s Valuable Time by Avoiding Debate: Anurag Singh
1 min read
Himachal Pradesh, August 11 – Former Union Minister and Hamirpur MP Anurag Singh Thakur criticized the opposition for disrupting parliamentary proceedings and delaying the passage of the National Sports Administration Bill, 2025 and the National Anti-Doping Amendment Bill, 2025. He said these bills are in the interest of youth and sportspersons, yet the opposition’s attitude remains indifferent. Thakur accused the opposition of using the monsoon session for political theatrics instead of public welfare, thereby disrespecting taxpayers and the Constitution. He also pointed out that despite sufficient time allotted for important bills like the Income Tax Bill, the opposition is avoiding discussion, preferring street protests over fulfilling parliamentary duties.
