Opposition Wasted Monsoon Session with Disruption and Politics: Anurag Thakur

Hamirpur, August 21 – Former Union Minister and Hamirpur MP Anurag Singh Thakur criticized the opposition for turning the Monsoon Session of Parliament into a platform for “cheap politics and chaos” instead of discussing public interest issues.
Thakur said the Congress has always placed self-interest above national interest and obstructed parliamentary proceedings rather than engaging in debate. He added that the opposition wasted Parliament’s valuable time, insulted taxpayers, and evaded its constitutional responsibilities.
Highlighting the contrast, Thakur stated that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced a constitutional amendment to bring himself and other leaders under the ambit of law, the Congress-led opposition resisted it, showing their “royal mindset” and reluctance to accept accountability.
