Online celebration of Himachal Day at Shoolini University

The 73rd Himachal Day was celebrated on April 15th by organising an online carnival by the students and staff of Shoolini University.

It was celebrated through a virtual platform with various competitions such as singing, dancing, cooking, photography and poetry.

Chancellor Shoolini University Prof. PK Khosla talked about the significance of Himachal Day. Various Faculty members and students participated in great numbers. They made their videos and put up a show over video conference.

Mr. Vivek Atray, ex-IAS officer and motivational speaker was the chief guest of the event.

Among the students, the winners of each competition were- Vikrant Ph.D. student bagged the first position in the singing competition followed by Ankita Chhetri of B.sc Biotech with the second position. Debolina Biswas, from MA Yoga and Priyanjali Rajta from B.sc Micro was given a consolation prize, whereas Florance Alfred from MBA received a special Music award.

The winners of Dance competitions were Dr. Nitika Thakur, Faculty of Biotechnology bagged first prize followed by Simran Chauhan, student of BAJMC at second position and Shubhangi Sood of M. Pharma Pharmacognosy and Ankita from MBA shared the third position.

Arshdeep of B.tech Mechanical got the first position in Poetry whereas, Priti Sohal of M.sc Biotech and Aayushi Singh from B.sc BT shared second position and a consolation prize was given to Nitika from B.sc Yoga.

The event was organised by the numerous clubs of Abhiruchi. ‘Abhiruchi’ is the cultural hub at Shoolini University, under the guidance of Mrs. Poonam Nanda, Dean Students Welfare Shoolini University.
