One Night for Village Gadheri’ Celebrates Rich Pahari Heritage and Traditions
1 min readIn a heartfelt celebration of Pahari heritage, Youth Association Gadheri organized a star-studded “One Night for Village Gadheri” event on the eve of Diwali in Gadheri village, Gram Panchayat Himri. Featuring performances by stars like Pankaj, Vivek Rajta, and Rohini Dogra, the evening was filled with traditional Pahari nati dances, the folk performance of Choor, and the local Karyala play presented by Youth Association members.
Er. Hari Krishan Himral, Director of Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank and HPCC Secretary, attended as the chief guest. He praised the youth association’s dedication to preserving local culture, particularly by celebrating Diwali with traditional folk arts and showcasing local talent. Highlighting the positive impact of such events, Himral expressed that the youth’s involvement in traditional celebrations promotes community well-being and combats the lure of negative influences. Prior to the event, the association also organized a tree plantation and cleanliness drive, underscoring its commitment to local development.
Himral pledged ongoing support to encourage the youth in their efforts toward self-reliance and cultural preservation, applauding the state government’s initiatives under Chief Minister Sukhu aimed at making Himachal Pradesh self-reliant.
