He emphasized that frequent elections hinder development and waste resources. The Modi government approved 11 proposals for simultaneous elections based on recommendations from a committee led by former President Ram Nath Kovind. Thakur stated that this reform would save costs, reduce policy delays, and ensure uninterrupted governance, benefiting the nation.
