No Government Will Be Allowed to Take Even a Single Rupee from Temples: Ajay Rana

1 min read

Mandi, March 4 – BJP state spokesperson Ajay Rana vowed that no government would be allowed to take even a single rupee from any temple in Himachal Pradesh. He accused the Congress-led government of targeting temple funds for its schemes, calling it an anti-Sanatan move.

Rana strongly criticized Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s appeal for financial assistance from temples, stating that temple donations are meant for religious and developmental activities, not government programs. He alleged that the Congress government’s intentions behind seeking funds from Hindu temples are politically motivated and unacceptable.

He also refuted Congress’s claims regarding temple funds, clarifying that a previous government directive was for cow welfare, not for funding state projects. Rana further reminded that Congress had earlier portrayed its election victory as a defeat of 97% Hindus, exposing its anti-Hindu stance.

Accusing the Sukhu government of financial mismanagement, Rana claimed that the administration has failed to pay salaries and pensions and is now eyeing temple wealth. He demanded an immediate rollback of the decision and an apology from Congress to the Hindu community.
