Nitin Sharma of Chadi Wins First Prize in ‘Letter Writing in the Digital Age’ Contest

Kangra, May 06 – Shri Nitin Sharma, a resident of village and post office Chadi and Shastri at Government High School Bhitlu, has secured first place in the over-18 age category of the ‘Dhai Akhar Letter Writing Competition’ for 2024–25, organized by the India Post, Himachal Pradesh Circle, Shimla. His letter on the theme *“Importance of Letter Writing in the Digital Age”* was adjudged the best among all entries from the state.

For his outstanding entry, he was awarded a cash prize of ₹25,000 and a certificate of appreciation. The award ceremony was held at Government High School Bhitlu, where Mr. Ravindra Sharma, Superintendent of Post Offices, Dharamshala Division, presented the award in the presence of Mr. Kamal Sharma, Assistant Superintendent, Ms. Aditi Sharma, Sub-Postmaster, Chadi, and Mr. Sahil Sharma, Office Assistant.

The school’s Principal Mrs. Jyoti Thapa, faculty, and students were also present. The competition proved to be a meaningful initiative, not only promoting writing skills but also highlighting the emotional depth and cultural relevance of letter writing even in today’s digital era.
