NHM Doctor Attacked in Shimla’s Kasumpti, Admitted to IGMC

Shimla, 26 May: Dr. Vikas Sharma, a medical officer working under the National Health Mission (NHM) in Kasumpti, Shimla, was severely injured in a shocking attack on Monday. The incident occurred while he was on his way to the office when an unidentified assailant approached and attacked him before fleeing the scene.

According to reports, the attacker pushed Dr. Sharma forcefully, causing him to fall and sustain injuries. Office staff rushed to the spot and immediately took him to IGMC Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment under medical supervision.

Dr. Sharma has also filed a complaint with the police regarding the incident. An investigation has been initiated to trace the attacker and ascertain the motive behind the assault.
