Navodaya Vidyalaya Pehku Bela Students Felicitated by Una DC After National Win

Una | January 30, 2026: Students and teachers of PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Pehku Bela, met Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal following their outstanding achievement in the Model Youth Gram Sabha Competition, where the school secured first position at the national level in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya category.
The award was presented at a national समारोह held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, by Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel. The school received a cash prize of ₹1 crore along with a certificate of appreciation and a memento.
Congratulating the students, teachers, and school management, DC Jatin Lal termed the achievement a matter of pride for Una district and Himachal Pradesh. He encouraged students to stay away from substance abuse, actively participate in sports and cultural activities, and make effective use of school libraries to prepare for competitive examinations.
The Model Youth Gram Sabha Competition was organised by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, aiming to promote youth engagement in grassroots democracy.
