Nauni University B.Lib. Admissions Open – Apply by July 30

Dr. YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni is currently accepting applications for admission to its Bachelor of Library and Information Science (B.Lib. & I.Sc.) programme for the academic session 2025–26. The programme is of one year duration, spread over two semesters, and will be offered in both Regular and Distance Learning modes. A total of 45 seats are available—30 for the Regular mode and 15 for the Distance Learning mode.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50 percent marks to be eligible for admission. Selection will be based on merit, with 40 percent weightage given to marks obtained in the 10+2 examination and 60 percent to marks secured in graduation.

For students opting for the Distance Learning mode, it is mandatory to attend contact classes for 15 days per semester at the university. Additionally, all students, regardless of the mode of study, must complete a 30-day internship at the Satya Nand Stokes Library of the university.

Completed applications, along with the prescribed fee in the form of a bank draft, must be submitted either in person or by post to Room Number 217, General Administrative Branch, Administrative Block, Registrar’s Office, Dr. YS Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, Solan, Himachal Pradesh (173230), by July 30, 2025.

Applications will be accepted with a late fee until August 5, 2025. Counseling for shortlisted candidates will be held in person on August 6, 2025, at the university’s main campus in Nauni.
