National Unity Day Celebrated at Advanced Study Institute

31-10-2023, Shimla: The Indian Advanced Study Institute (Advanced Study) celebrated National Unity Day on Tuesday. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the institution’s leaders, officials, and staff actively participated in the event. Secretary Shri Meharchand Negi commenced the program by shedding light on Sardar Patel’s contributions to national unity and administered the National Unity Day pledge to all.

Subsequently, a “Run for Unity” was organized for all participants. The run covered the distance from the institute’s main building to the Gurkha Gate and back, and prizes were awarded to the top two male and female participants. Notably, Dr. Pramod Vishnupant Pathak, the institute’s head, who is over 65 years old, also actively participated in the “Run for Unity” and received recognition.
