National Lok Adalat to Be Held on March 14 in Solan District

Solan, March 2: The National Lok Adalat will be organized on March 14, 2026, at the District and Sessions Court complex Solan, as well as at court complexes in Kandaghat, Arki, Kasauli, and Nalagarh. This information was shared by Akanksha Dogra, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Solan.

She stated that various cases will be settled through mutual compromise during the Lok Adalat. Matters to be taken up include compoundable criminal cases, cheque bounce cases, traffic challans, recovery suits, motor accident claim cases, labour disputes, electricity and water bill disputes, matrimonial cases, land acquisition matters, salary and retirement-related cases.

Dogra further informed that even pre-litigation cases, which have not yet been filed in court, can also be resolved during the Lok Adalat. She emphasized that Lok Adalat helps save time and money, involves no court fee, and previously paid court fees in pending cases are refunded upon settlement. No punitive action is imposed on either party in such settlements. For traffic challan cases, payment can also be made through the Virtual Court website.

Interested individuals who wish to settle their cases may submit an application on plain paper before March 14, 2026, at the District Legal Services Authority office in Solan or at the respective court where the matter is pending.
