National Law Fest concludes at Shoolini Univ

The three-day long National Law Fest 2022, organised by the Center of Clinical Legal Education (CCLE) and the Faculty of Legal Sciences at Shoolini University concluded on Friday.
Justice Chander Bhusan Barowalia, Lokayukta of Himachal Pradesh, was the chief guest for the day.
Justice Barowalia discussed the concept of justice. He explained why he believed society ought to act and think justly. He said “Satyamev Jayate” to signify that justice would ultimately win out in his closing statement.
The first-ever Offline National Law Fest combines four primary events—a Moot Court competition, a crime scene investigation competition, a legislative drafting/review competition, and a client counselling competition—with the goal of fostering among students a spirit of competitiveness and legal knowledge.
The competition was judged by constitutional bench consisting of Justice Chander Bhusan Barowalia, Lokayukta of Himachal Pradesh, Former Session Judge B.L. Soni, Professor Dr. Nishtha Jaswal, Vice Chancellor, HPNLU, Mr. Rakeshwar Lall Sood, Senior Advocate, and Professor Dr. Sanjay Sindhu, Dean and Chairman, Himachal Pradesh University.
In his speech, Chancellor Prof. P K Khosla advised the audience to always think of something new and nurture it with hard work, enthusiasm, and respect.
The winners of the moot competition were Shashank Mishra, Pranav Singh, and Yash Jaiswal from Sambhunath Institute of Law. The winners for crime scene investigation came from HPU and were Abhishek Sharma and Kulbeer Thakur.
The winners of the client counselling competition were Shailja Raturi and Khwaish Jaggi from Uttranchal University and the Law College in Dehradun, respectively. Harishri from Sastra University won the legislative drafting online competition.
The winners of the moot court tournament received a prize of Rs. 20,000 and a certificate of participation.
At the closing ceremony, Dr. Nandan Sharma, Associate Dean Faculty of Legal Sciences at Shoolini University, gave the welcome speech and the vote of thanks.
Director Center of Clinical Legal Education, Dr. Renu Pal Sood, said for students to gain professional skills and apply the law in real-world situations, they need to receive clinical legal education. CCLE was founded with the goal of fostering a variety of activities that foster the growth of professional skills.
