On the day of the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram in Ayodhya on January 22, Diwali will be celebrated across the country. In Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, known as the cultural capital and little Kashi, several religious communities will also celebrate Diwali by lighting lamps on this occasion. Apart from Hindus, Muslims and Sikh communities will also participate in the Diwali festivities. Christians have also expressed joy on this occasion. Namebearer Mukhi Thakur Dalip Singh extended warm wishes, stating that every one of Indian origin worldwide should celebrate this occasion by lighting lamps in their homes on January 22.
“Bhagwan Shri Ramchandra is not confined to any one religion; he is the great hero of Indian culture,” said Pastor Sunny Eappen, expressing that the prolonged dispute has now ended, and this is a moment of joy for everyone. Rajbali, former chairman of the Waqf Board, mentioned that the Muslim community will also be a part of this event, lighting lamps in homes along with religious places. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for a cleanliness drive. The message is that society is united, and this event signifies that.
MN Hussain emphasized that everyone should be part of all kinds of happiness. In India, Hindus celebrate in Muslim festivals, and Muslims celebrate in Hindu festivals; this is India’s uniqueness. Celebrations are taking place all over India. It should be ensured that this entire event is not seen from a political perspective, as politics has dominated this issue for years.
